WHO WE ARE: Based in NYC, Water For Grassroots supports community organizing groups in the swing states. We help them win elections and build grassroots power that lasts beyond one election cycle. Our partner groups are organizing around issues 12 months a year, they know the local political terrain, and they don’t shut down after Election Day. These grassroots organizations are in it for the long haul – and they can change the swing states for good.

ON TO GEORGIA:  Together with our sister group Seed The Vote, we’re joining with grassroots groups in Georgia to win help the runoff elections for US Senate. See our Calendar to learn how you can volunteer; join our email list to get future updates.

In the past year Water For Grassroots (W4G) has supported efforts by Pennsylvania Stands Up, Make The Road-PA, New Florida Majority, Organize Florida, LUCHA in Arizona, Durham For All in North Carolina, Reclaim Our Vote, Mijente, New Georgia Project, Georgia Working Families Party, and more.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Want to help Georgia organizers reach out to voters?

MAKE CALLS

A conversation with a voter is always our most effective tool. This year grassroots phonebanks led to hundreds of thousands of conversations with Georgia voters, and that flipped the state in November. Find phonebanks for the Senate runoffs here.

DONATE

Community-based organizations are very effective in registering voters, and getting new voters to the polls. But too often, they’re short on funds at election time – just when they can do the most good. Contribute to some great grassroots groups in GA here.

HELP IN GEORGIA

Georgia organizations we're working with say they can use in-person volunteers between Nov. 29 and Jan. 5. Most work will be in Atlanta and its suburbs. Some support for housing & travel costs. Details coming soon, fill out an interest form now.
