WHO WE ARE: Based in NYC, Water For Grassroots supports community organizing groups in the swing states. We help them win elections and build grassroots power that lasts beyond one election cycle. Our partner groups are organizing around issues 12 months a year, they know the local political terrain, and they don’t shut down after Election Day. These grassroots organizations are in it for the long haul – and they can change the swing states for good.
OUR PARTNERS: Water For Grassroots (W4G) has joined volunteer efforts to support Pennsylvania Stands Up, Make The Road-PA, New Florida Majority and Organize Florida (now combined as Florida Rising), LUCHA in Arizona, Durham For All in North Carolina, Reclaim Our Vote, Mijente, New Georgia Project, Georgia Working Families Party, and more.
GEORGIA & BEYOND: Together with our sister group Seed The Vote, we helped grassroots groups in Georgia win the runoff elections for US Senate. The fight for democracy in Georgia continues, with Republican legislators pushing for a new wave of voter suppression laws. See our Action Calendar for how you can help local Georgia organizers fight back. And join our email list for updates on future solidarity actions with other states.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Our top priority now is helping local Georgia organizers fight voter suppression.

Call voters of color in key districts, asking them to call their legislators and urge a “no” vote on these anti-democratic bills. Join a phonebank with training, or if you’re an experienced caller, review the script and call Georgia voters on your own.
SEND A MESSAGE
Georgia-based companies like Delta Airlines, UPS, & Coca-Cola ran ads declaring that Black Lives Matter & praising the life of John Lewis. But they donate to GOP politicians who work to stop Black people from voting. Tell them to stop funding voter suppression.
Georgia is now a swing state because of the nuts-and-bolts work of community groups doing long-term organizing at the grassroots. Support their continuing work against voter suppression today, with a donation here.
