WATER FOR GRASSROOTS ACTION CALENDAR
All our volunteer work is now focused on Georgia’s two runoff elections for US Senate. We're partnering with Georgia-based organizations that know their communities, and know how to engage people who might not otherwise vote. Volunteering with one of these grassroots groups is an effective way to help Georgians win a double victory on January 5.
In some of the sessions listed on this page, you can make calls or send texts in Spanish; click here to see them listed together.

Call Georgia voters, on your own schedule
Tues. 1/5 – any time between 10am & 7pm
Between 10am and 7pm, start (or stop) calling Georgia voters whenever works for you! Before you begin, you'll be sent a phonebank toolkit & a training video, plus an FAQ on voting in Georgia and a link to online support. Organized with Care In Action, backed by thousands of members of the National Domestic Workers Alliance.
THE DAYS AFTER: DEFENDING THE VOTE
Data entry: Help Georgia voters get their ballots counted
Wed. 1/6 – 9am-9pm
Thurs. 1/7 – 9am-9pm
Fri. 1/8 – 9am-3pm
In Georgia, some absentee ballots get rejected each election because they’re missing a signature, or an election worker thinks the signature doesn’t match what’s on file. Fortunately, voters have the opportunity to “cure” these issues and ensure their votes are counted! Immediately after Election Day, New Georgia Project Action Fund will need help transcribing data about these rejected ballots, from PDFs into a Google spreadsheet, so that volunteers can reach out to those voters to “cure” their ballots. Sign up now to help them plan!

DONATE
Can you contribute to travel & hotel costs of low-income volunteers who've gone to Georgia to join local canvassing efforts? We're part of an inter-state solidarity effort led by our sister group Seed The Vote, which we worked with this fall in a community canvassing project in Philadelphia. Both efforts made participation open to all, by committing to cover basic costs of volunteers who need financial assistance. For Georgia, we still need to raise $50,000 to meet that goal. We are confident we'll get there, because we've done it before—but we need your help. If you can afford a contribution, please donate here.
IN-PERSON ELECTION WORK IN GEORGIA
[Jan. 2 update: Deep thanks to everyone who's signed up to go to Georgia & help local organizers canvass! Registration is now closed, but you can donate here to help pay costs for low-income volunteers.]
With our sister group Seed the Vote, we're partnering with grassroots groups in Georgia to knock doors and speak with Georgia voters in person. These organizations helped Biden defeat Trump in Georgia, and they've asked us to help them flip the Senate and support their long-term power building efforts.
Volunteers are needed through Jan. 5. All canvassers are trained and given PPE; Covid safety is fundamental to this work. Support for travel & housing costs is available.
